Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie to Appear at Tanglewood

Broadway stars Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie will appear at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts on Sunday, August 26 as part of an all-Gershwin program. They will be joined by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
The Tanglewood season will begin June 28 and 29 with the Mark Morris Dance Group. Other highlights of the season include a concert performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel on July 10, a concert version of Verdi’s Don Carlo, featuring Johan Botha, Patricia Racette, and James Morris on July 28, and pop singer James Taylor’s show One Man Band on August 24.
Mitchell and Mazzie have previously co-starred in the Broadway productions of Ragtime, Kiss Me, Kate, and Man of La Mancha and the City Center Encores! production of Kismet.
