The Broadway production of Grey Gardens will be recorded next week by PS Classics, with a March release planned. The company previously released the show’s Off-Broadway cast recording, based on its production at Playwrights Horizons.

The new recording, to be produced by Grammy Award winner Steven Epstein, will reflect the changes made to the Broadway production, which includes such new songs as “Goin’ Places” and “Marry Well,” and the deletion of songs from the Off-Broadway show including “Better Fall Out of Love” and “Being Bouvier.”

Written by Doug Wright, Michael Korie, and Scott Frankel, Grey Gardens is based on the 1975 documentary film of the same name title. It concerns heiresses Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter, “Little Edie,” who ended up living as recluses in a run-down East Hampton mansion.

The Broadway production of Grey Gardens stars Christine Ebersole, Mary Louise Wilson, Erin Davie, John McMartin, Matt Cavenaugh, Michael Potts, Bob Stillman, Kelsey Fowler, and Sarah Hyland.
