Michael Laurence Replaces Erik Jensen in Talk Radio

Michael Laurence will now play the role of Stu Noonan in the Broadway production of Eric Bogosian’s Talk Radio, replacing Erik Jensen. The show, directed by Tony Award winner Robert Falls, begins performances tonight at the Longacre Theatre and will open officially on March 11.

The production stars Tony winner Liev Schreiber, Peter Hermann, Stephanie March Sebastian Stan, Christine Pedi, Barbara Rosenblatt, Adam Sietz, Marc Thompson, Cornell Womack, Christy Pusz, Oliver Vaquer, and Kit Williamson.

Laurence’s theater credits include Bogosian’s Humpty Dumpty at the McCarter Theatre, The Rainmaker for Arena Stage, and Signature Theatre’s productions of Book of Days and Tooth of Crime. His film credits include Room 314, Escape Artists, and Particles of Truth.

Talk Radio was first seen at The Public Theater in 1987, with Bogosian in the starring role. The play concerns a controversial radio host who becomes overwhelmed by the hatred that surrounds his program just before it goes national. Bogosian’s other plays include subUrbia and Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead.
