Norm Lewis, Kerry Butler, Patina Miller at Ragtime Concert’s First Day of Rehearsal

Meet the cast of the upcoming one-night-only revival.

The cast and creative team of Manhattan Concert Productions’ upcoming one-night-only concert of the musical Ragtime held their first day of rehearsal on Monday, February 11 at the National Opera Center. Directed by Stafford Armia (Bare), the concert will take place on February 18 at Avery Fisher Hall.

Inspired by the novel by E.L. Doctorow, Ragtime interweaves fact and fiction to tell the stories of a Harlem jazz pianist out for justice, a wealthy upper-class New Rochelle family offering aid to a runaway, and a poor Jewish immigrant who attempts to live out the American dream while hocking wares on the street.
