In honor of the 441st birthday of William Shakespeare on April 23, theater stars Richard Easton, Dana Ivey, and Roger Rees will join opera stars Lando Bartolini, Mark Delevan, Kallen Esperian, and Heidi Grant Murphy, along with the Collegiate Chorale led by Robert Bass, in a Verdi and Shakespeare concert at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday, April 20 at 8pm.

The program will feature scenes from Giuseppe Verdi’s operas Otello (Act I), Macbeth (“The Witches’ Chorus,” “Lady Macbeth’s Drinking Song,” the Act I finale), and Falstaff (the “Honor Monologue,” “Nanetta’s Aria,” and the Act III finale). Ivey, Easton, and Rees will read from the corresponding scenes in Shakespeare’s plays. The performance will be preceded by a 7pm interview with renowned soprano Renata Scotto, whose Desdemona in Otello was one of her many famous roles.

Tickets for the concert range in price from $15-$85. They may be purchased by calling Carnegie Charge at 212-247-7800 or by visiting the Carnegie Hall box office.
