Paige Davis will take over the starring role of Charity Hope Valentine from Molly Ringwald in the national tour of Sweet Charity, beginning with performances at San Antonio’s Majestic Theater on June 19. Davis will continue with the tour, which will stop at Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars, June 26-July 8, before heading to Kansas City, Milwaukee, Dallas, and Tempe, Arizona.

The tour is directed by Scott Faris with choreography by Wayne Cilento.
Sweet Charity features a book by Neil Simon and a score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields. The tour, which is based on the show’s 2005 Broadway revival, began last fall.

Davis has starred on Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago; her other stage credits include Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line, Company, and Pippin. She received an Emmy Award nomination as the host of the TV series Trading Spaces and wrote a book on her experiences.
