Crystal Field, Juan Javier Cardenas, David Skeist, and Liam Torres will star in Eduardo Machado’s Havana Journal, 2004, to be presented by INTAR and Theater for the New City, at the latter venue, March 26-April 18, with an opening on April 3. Stefanie Sertich will direct.
In the play, Ruth, a disillusioned writer and radical, leaves the halls of American academia to travel to Cuba. But when she returns to Columbia University, she is confronted by the realities of sacrifice and idealism.
The production will feature set and lighting design by Maruti Evans, costume design by Michael Bevins, and sound design by Elizabeth Rhodes.
