Jeff McCarthy to Play Billy Flynn in Broadway’s Chicago Starting March 8

Broadway veteran Jeff McCarthy will rejoin the Broadway production of Chicago, playing at the Ambassador Theatre, beginning on March 8 and continue in the role of Billy Flynn through March 25. He replaces the previously announced Christopher Sieber, who is taking over the role of Georges in the Broadway revival of La Cage Aux Folles.

Chicago has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).

During McCarthy’s run in the show, the company will also feature Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Roz Ryan as Matron “Mama” Morton. Brent Barrett wlll rejoin the show on March 26 as Billy.

McCarthy previously played the role in 2007 and 2008. His many Broadway credits include The Pirate Queen, Urinetown, Side Show, and Beauty and the Beast.
