Tony winner Billy Porter, Patricia Morison, and Max von Essen also came out to the event, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Many of the Broadway community's biggest stars participated in last night's Broadway Backwards event at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Those on hand included Tony nominee Norm Lewis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Tony winner Billy Porter, Patricia Morison, Stephen Bienskie, Colin Hanlo, and Max von Essen, among others. Tony winner Julie White (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and Bebe Wood, who starred in TV's The New Normal, hosted the event.

Broadway Backwards is an annual benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The event is a celebration where gays and lesbians see their stories told through the great songs of musical theatre, sung by their favorite Broadway performers.
