The Manhattan Theatre Club has announced four of the plays that will be presented in its 2007-2008 season. Dates, casting, and additional information will be announced at a later date.

MTC’s Broadway house, the Biltmore Theatre, will host Theresa Rebeck’s Mauritius, co-produced by Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company. The play concerns two half-sisters who inherit a rare stamp collection.

Also booked for the Biltmore is a new production of British dramatist Caryl Churchill’s Top Girls, which will receive its Broadway premiere under the direction of James MacDonald. The play tells the story of an ambitious career woman at an early 1980s London employment agency

Off-Broadway, MTC will offer the world premiere of Adam Bock’s office comedy The Receptionist, directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and starring former Tony nominee (and current Wickedstar) Jayne Houdyshell, and the American premiere of Abbie Spallen’s Pumpgirl, about three lives colliding in rural Ireland.
