The Huntington Theatre Company will present Kiki & Herb: Alive From Broadway at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, June 13-30. The duo will then play San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre, July 13-29.

Kiki & Herb are the creation of Justin Bond and Kenny Mellman. The pair met and began performing together almost 20 years ago after meeting at a San Francisco nightclub. Kiki (played by Bond) is a brash, boozy, septuagenarian chanteuse who is wont to share her political opinions and social commentary with audiences; Herb (played by Mellman) is her stalwart accompanist.

The pair played Broadway’s Helen Hayes Theater in the summer of 2006 and are in the midst of a long run at Joe’s Pub in New York. Their act has also been seen in London, New York’s Carnegie Hall, and numerous other venues.
