Ron Livingston and Jason Patric Set for LaBute’s House

Ron Livingston and Jason Patric will star in the MCC Theatre production of Neil LaBute’s new play, In a Dark Dark House, May 16-June 23 at the Lucille Lortel Theater. The show, which will officially open on June 7, will be directed by Carolyn Cantor. Casting for the third performer will be announced at a later date.

The play concerns two brothers who must deal with their traumatic past. LaBute’s other works include Fat Pig, Wrecks, and The Shape of Things.

The show’s creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (sets), Jenny Mannis (costumes), Ben Stanton (lighting), and Rob Kaplowitz (sound and original music). Cantor is the co-artistic director of Edge Theater Company and is currently represented Off-Broadway by Essential Self-Defense.

Livingston’s many film and television credits include Band of Brothers, Office Space, The Cooler, Sex and the City, and Standoff. Patric played Brick in the recent Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and has also appeared on stage in Beirut, The Tempest and LaBute’s bash. His many film credits include The Lost Boys, Rush, Narc, and The Alamo.
