Tovah Feldshuh will host the male beauty pageant Mr. Broadway 2007, which will be held at 8pm on Monday, April 30 at New World Stages. She replaces previously announced host Gary Beach, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Ali Forney Center, which helps LGBT youth in New York City.

The pageant will feature cast members from eight Broadway musicals as contestants: Nick Adams (The Pirate Queen), Ward Billeisen (Curtains), Frankie James Grande (Mamma Mia!), Kenway Kua (Wicked), Tyler Maynard (Mary Poppins), Paul McGill (A Chorus Line), Arbender Robinson (Hairspray), and Nick Sanchez (Tarzan).

The contestants will compete for the title crown in talent, interview, and swimsuit competitions before a panel of celebrity judges, including Cheyenne Jackson, Seth Rudetsky, and Scott Nevins. However, the final vote for the winner will be in the hands of the audience.

Mr. Broadway 2007 is written and conceived by Jeffrey Self and directed by Ryan J. Davis, with musical direction by Eric Svejcar. The pageant will include new songs by Svejcar, Lisa Lambert, Glen Kelly, Ben Cohn, and Sean McDaniel.

Tickets range from $50-$500. For more information, visit www.mrbroadway.org.
