Neil Haskell to Join Altar Boyz on April 22

Neil Haskell will take over the role of Luke from Jesse JP Johnson in the long-running Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz on April 22.

A spoof of a Christian boy-band (complete with one Jewish member), the show has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker and a book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport. It is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. The cast also features Michael Kadin Craig, Jay Garcia, Ryan J. Ratliff, and Ryan Strand.

Haskell is best known for appearing on the FOX-TV progaram So You Think Yo Can Dance. His stage credits include The Times They Are A-Changin’. Beauty and the Beast, 42nd Street, and Grease.

Altar Boyz was named Best Off-Broadway Musical by the Outer Critics Circle and received numerous Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominations.
