Broadway Jersey Boys to Resume Performances Following Electrical Fire

The Broadway production of Jersey Boys, at the August Wilson Theatre, canceled both the Tuesday evening performance on April 6 and the Wednesday matinee on April 7 due to a nearby electrical fire on West 52nd Street. A production spokesperson has confirmed that it will resume performances for tonight’s 8pm curtain.

The musical is based on the life story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. The musical chronicles the lives of a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.

The show currently stars Jarrod Spector (Valli), Matt Bogart (Massi), Sebastian Arcelus (Gaudio) and Dominic Nolfi (DeVito).With book by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the musical features dozens of the group’s popular hits, including “Walk Like a Man,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”
