The new Broadway play High, which opened last night at the Booth Theatre, will play its final performance following the Sunday, April 24 matinee. As of that date, it will have played 28 previews and 8 regular performances.

Rob Ruggiero has directed the play, written by Matthew Lombardo, and starring Kathleen Turner.

In it, Sister Jamison Connolly (Turner) agrees to sponsor a 19-year-old drug user in an effort to help him combat his addiction. Struggling between the knowledge she possesses as a rehabilitation counselor and a woman of religious conviction, she begins to question her belief in miracles and whether people can find the courage to change.

The cast also features Tony Award nominee Stephen Kunken as Father Michael Delpapp and Evan Jonigkeit, in his Broadway debut as Cody Randall. The design team includes David Gallo (sets), Jess Goldstein (costumes), John Lasiter (lights), and Vincent Olivieri (sound & original compositions).
