On Monday, April 2, the Broadway production of Peter Quilter’s End of the Rainbow opened at the Belasco Theatre, starring Olivier Award winner Tracie Bennett as Judy Garland.
Terry Johnson directed the production, which also stars Michael Cumpsty, Tom Pelphrey, and Jay Russell. Set in 1968, the show is set around her final performances in London.
Opening night guests included Kathleen Chalfant, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Tovah Feldshuh, Montego Glover, Joel Grey, Colin Hanlon, Edward Hibbert, Stacy Keach, Isabel Keating, Richard Kind, Larry Kramer, Lisa Lampanelli, Debra Monk, Ron Raines, Molly Ranson, Elaine Stritch, Jennifer Tilly, and Barbara Windsor.
