The long-running musical revue Naked Boys Singing has returned to Off-Broadway after a brief hiatus in a newly conceived-version at the Kirk Theatre, produced and directed by Michael and Tom D'Angora. The show officially opens on Thursday, April 5.
The cast includes Jon-Paul Mateo, Ryan Obermaier, Alex Ringler, David San Angelo, Ricky Schroeder, Seph Stanek, and Christopher Trebinski.
In the 60-minute show, the cast regales the audience -- made up of everyone from gay male fans to young bachelorettes -- with such songs as "The Naked Maid," "Nothin' But the Radio On," "I Beat my Meat," and the hilarious "Perky Little Porn Star," about a young man who was raised in a conservative Jewish family in Skokie, Illinois, and finds fame in the adult film industry.
While mostly lighthearted, the revue also contains more serious fare, such as "Window to Window," about two men who watch each other undress through their apartment windows every night but long for a relationship.
