DeJean, Lemenager, Woods to Join Broadway’s Chicago

Nancy Lemenager will take over the role of Velma Kelly in the hit musical Chicago, beginning Monday, May 19.

Meanwhile, Michelle DeJean will return to the role of Roxie Hart and Carol Woods will return to role of Matron Mama Morton on Monday, June 2. The cast also features Jeff McCarthy as Billy Flynn and Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart.

Chicago features a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, including such hits as “All That Jazz,” “Mister Cellophane,” “Razzle Dazzle” and “Nowadays.” The production is directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Ann Reinking. The musical won six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.
