Book of Mormon Original Cast Recording Now Online on NPR for Free Listen

The original cast recording of Broadway’s The Book of Mormon can now be heard for free on NPR, in anticipation of the musical’s previously reported digital release from Ghostlight Records on May 17, and in-store release on June 7.

The Book of Mormon, now playing at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, has been written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony Award winner Robert Lopez. Parker is co-directing the show with Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer.

The musical follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The production, which has been nominated for 14 Tony Awards, is co-directed by Trey Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer, and is co-written by Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez.

The company features Josh Gad as Elder Cunningham, Andrew Rannells as Elder Price, Nikki M. James as Nabalungi, Rory O’Malley as Elder McKinley, Michael Potts as Mafala Hatimbi, along with Scott Barnhardt, Justin Bohon, Ta’rea Campbell, Darlesia Cearcy, Kevin Duda, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Brian Tyree Henry, Tyson Jennette, John Eric Parker, Jason Michael Snow, Benjamin Schrader, Michael James Scott, Brian Sears, Lawrence Stallings, Rema Webb, Maia Nkenge Wilson and Tommar Wilson.
