59E59 Theaters has announced the lineup for the 2013 East to Edinburgh Festival, which will be running July 9-July 28. The festival gives US productions en route to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe — the largest arts festival in the world — a chance to get on their feet before premiering across the Atlantic.

This year’s lineup will include 16 productions, including Lisa Faith Phillips’s Savvy Secrets of Successful Mistresses, Jessica Sherr’s Bette Davis Ain’t For Sissies, Michael Milligan’s Mercy Killers, Matt Nagin’s Woolly Mammoth Panic Attack, John P. McEneny’s The Island of Doctor Moreau, Rose-Marie Brandwein’s Expiration Date, Ryan Good’s Sex with Animals, Bill Bowers’ It Goes Without Saying, Grace Kiley’s Longing For Grace, Adam Strauss’ The Sordid Sex Life of the Montane Vole, Alexandra Devon’s His Majesty, The Devil, Monica Bauer’s The Year I Was Gifted, Richard Smithies-directed Honest Iago and 3 Other Choice Villains from Shakespeare, Penny Jackson’s Safe, Chris Harcum’s American Gun Show, and Sandro Monetti’s Miserable Lesbians: The Musical Parody.

East to Edinburgh simulates the same production constraints that all shows experience during the Festival, while giving them a clean, comfortable, and nurturing space to fine-tune their productions.
