New York’s New Victory Theater has announced the 15 shows slated for its 2013-14 season, which will include nine U.S. premieres, three New York premieres, and one world premiere.

Fiasco Theater, recently lauded for its minimalist production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods at the McCarter Theatre, will present a world premiere production of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure at the New Victory from February 28-March 16, 2014.

A U.S. premiere of Peter Pan, adapted by Tommy Murphy, will open the season. Directed by Ralph Myers, the production comes from Belvoir, a theater company based in Sydney, Australia. The show is scheduled to run from October 4-13.

Circus Der Sinne’s Mother Africa will also make its U.S. premiere at the New Victory, running from December 6-January 5, 2014. The show will feature an “Icarian Games” act from Ethiopia, stilt walkers from Tanzania, and a contortionist from Kenya known as “the most flexible man in the world.”

The season’s remaining U.S. premieres include Sleeping Beauty from Carlo Colla & Sons Marionette Company (November 1-10), a Dutch dance show entitled Hyperish (May 9-May 18, 2014), and three additional productions from Australia including Patch Theatre Company’s Me and My Shadow (October 19-20), Jump Leads and Jessica Wilson’s cabaret Still Awake Still! (January 18-20, 2014), and Knee Deep by Brisbane’s popular new circus company Casus (March 21-30, 2014).

New Victory will also offer New York premieres of the rock-infused tap performance Feet Don’t Fail Me Now (November 15-December 1); a new musical entitled Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, based on the story by Cedella Marley and featuring a score by legendary reggae artist Bob Marley (February 7-23, 2014); and Fluff, an imaginative and family-friendly piece by Australian performance artist Christine Johnston (April 26-May 4, 2014).

Unique Theatrical Experience Drama Desk Award nominee Bello Nock will return to perform a new incarnation of his high-flying clown show Bello Mania from April 4-20, 2014. Children performances including Songs From Above, This [Baby] Life (February 12-23, 2014), and Baby Rave (May 7-18, 2014) will also join the New Victory season.
