Drew Sarich, who played the villainous Armand in the Broadway musical Lestat, will join the cast of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris on July 7. He will assume the role currently being played by Rodney Hicks.

Jacques Brel, a revue of the songs of the famed Belgian writer, also stars Robert Cuccioli, Natascia Diaz, Gay Marshall, and Eric Svejcar, who also serves as musical director. The cast (including Hicks) is going into the studio this week to record the show, although no release date or distributor has been set. The show, which opened on March 27, received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.

In addition to Lestat, Sarich’s other stage credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Jekyll & Hyde, and The Who’s Tommy. He also fronts the band International Victim.
