Lansbury to Receive Edwin Booth Lifetime Achievement Award

Angela Lansbury will be presented with The Players Club’s Edwin Booth Lifetime Achievement Award at a black-tie event to be held at 6pm on Sunday, June 24 at The Players Club on Gramercy Park.

The award will be presented by Players president Timothy Hutton. The star-studded gala’s attendees will include Christopher Plummer, Mary Louise Wilson, Brian Dennehy, Marian Seldes, David Hyde Pierce, and John Cullum.

Lansbury is currently starring on Broadway in Deuce, for which she earned a Tony nomination. She received Tony Awards for her performances in Mame, Dear World, Gypsy, and Sweeney Todd. Her other Broadway credits include A Taste of Honey and Anyone Can Whistle. She has received Academy Award nominations for Gaslight, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Manchurian Candidate, and she is well known for her starring role of Jessica Fletcher in the long-running TV series Murder, She Wrote.
