Betty Buckley’s Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway Recording to Be Released on August 28

A recording of Betty Buckley‘s cabaret show, Ah, Men! The Boys of Broadway will be released by Palmetto Records on August 28.

On the CD, Buckley sings songs from Broadway shows that were originally performed by men. The set list contains hits from Sweeney Todd, Fiddler on the Roof Guys and Dolls, and La Cage aux Folles. The centerpiece of the new album is “A Hymn to Her,” a rewrite of My Fair Lady‘s “A Hymn to Him” with concept and new lyrics by Eric Stern and Eric Korngold.

She is joined by Christian Jacob on piano., Peter Barshay on bass and Matt Betton on drums

Buckley won the Tony Award for Cats. Her many Broadway credits include 1776, Pippin, Triumph of Love, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Sunset Boulevard.
