Jared Gertner, Kevin Mambo, Samantha Marie Ware Join Gavin Creel in The Book of Mormon Tour

Additional casting has been announced for the First National Tour of The Book of Mormon, which will launch at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, running August 14-September 12.

As previously announced, Tony Award nominee Gavin Creel will star as Elder Price. He is joined by original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner as Elder Cunningham, Samantha Marie Ware as Nabulungi, Grey Henson as Elder McKinley, and Kevin Mambo as Mafala Hatimbi.

The ensemble will feature Mike McGowan, Derrick Williams, Jon Bass, Jacob ben Widmar, Colin Bradbury, Josh Breckenridge, JR Bruno, Michael Buchanan, Jonathan Cullen, Bobby Daye, Talitha Farrow, Phyre Hawkins, Mykal Kilgore, Daniel LeClaire, Antyon Lemonte, Douglas Lyons, Kimberly Marable, Laiona Michelle, Kevin Michael Murphy, Michael Schwitter, Jeffrey David Sears, Marisha Wallace, Bud Weber, Christian Dante White, and Jamaal Wilson. Additional casting is still to come.

Now in its second year on Broadway, The Book of Mormon, which has been written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Tony Award winner Robert Lopez., follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The show won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The production is co-directed by Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer.

The production features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Brian Ronan, and orchestrations by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus.
