Andreas, Ebersole, Maye, West, et al. Set for 2007 Cabaret Convention

The line-up has been announced for the 2007 Cabaret Convention, to be presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation at Jazz at Lincoln Center, November 5-8. All concerts will begin at 6pm.

The “Gala Opening” on Monday, November 5 will feature Barbara Brussell, Judy Butterfield, Barbara Carroll, Tony DeSare, Jeff Harnar, Maude Maggart, Andrea Marcovicci (who will receive the Mabel Award that evening), Steve Ross, Catherine Russell, Jennifer Sheehan, and Paula West.

On Tuesday, November 6, “The Art of Performance” will feature Christine Ebersole, Greta, Steve Kirwan, Marilyn Maye, Pamela Luss, and Billy Stritch (who will receive the Bart Howard Encouragement Award).

The November 7 concert, entitled “Centennial Celebration,” will feature Joyce Breach, Eric Comstock (who will receive the Dick Gallagher Award), Cynthia Crane, Barbara Fasano, Terese Genecco, Valerie Lemon, Phillip Officer, Julie Reyburn (who will receive the Julie Wilson Award), Lumiri Tubo, and Julie Wilson.

The Convention concludes on Thursday, November 8 with “For Edythe, With Love,” dedicated to the late cabaret patron, Edythe Kenner. The concert will star Adam Alexander, Christine Andreas, Klea Blackhurst, Lilianne Montevecchi, Sidney Myer (who will receive the Paula Laurence Award), Mark Nadler, Craig Rubano, KT Sullivan, Wesla Whitfield, and Amra-Faye Wright.
