Brian McKnight to Join Broadway’s Chicago on October 8

R&B singer Brian McKnight will take over the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway musical Chicago, October 8-November 18. He will first play the part in the show’s national tour, September 25-October 7, at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.

The musical, which will celebrate its 11th anniversary in November, features a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb. It is directed by Walter Bobbie, with choreography by Ann Reinking.

McKnight has been a top-selling recording artist for 15 years. His CDs include Anytime, Back at One, and Ten; his hit singles include “One Last Cry,” “The Way Love Goes,” and “Love Is,” a duet with Vanessa Williams. He currently hosts The Brian McKnight Morning Show on L.A. radio station KTWV. As an actor, he has appeared on the TV series Sister, Sister, Platinum, and American Dreams.
