John Cullum, Shuler Hensley, Darren Pettie Join Playwright Horizons’ 2012-2013 Season

Playwright Horizons has announced complete casting for its first two productions of the 2012 to 2013 season, Detroit and The Whale.

Two-time Tony Award winner John Cullum, Darren Pettie, and Sarah Sokolvic will join the previously reported stars Amy Ryan and David Schwimmer in the New York premiere of Detroit, written by Obie Award winner Lisa D’Amour and directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman , which begins performances August 24 at the Mainstage Theatre.

Theatre World Award winner Cassie Beck, Reynade Courcy, Tony Award and Obie Award winner Shuler Hensley, Tasha Lawrence, and Cory Michael are featured in The Whale, written by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter and directed by Davis McCallum. A comedy about a man’s last chance at redemption, The Whale begins Friday, October 12 at Playwrights Horizons’ Peter Jay Sharp Theater.
