The creators of the 2010 Broadway musical Rain, which aimed to recapture The Beatles in all of its phases, have filed a suit against the upcoming Beatles-themed Broadway musical Let It Be, according to The New York Times. The suit is asking that the creators of Rain receive have of the revenues of Let It Be.

Let It Be, which is set to play a limited engagement at Broadway’s St. James Theatre July 16-December 29, also tells the history of the fab four through a mixture of live music and video. In fact, all but three of the songs in Rain will also be featured in Let It Be. However, Let It Be producers claim that their show takes a different approach to the material.

According to the lawsuit, however, the issue is more complicated than that. Rain Corporation claims that it provided Let It Be not only with its script but also with blocking and overseeing costume and wig fittings.
