Annie Parisse and Zak Orth will star in the Vineyeard Theatre production of Anne Washburn’s The Internationalist, October 19-November 26. Directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, the show will open officially on November 7. Additional information on casting and the creative team will be announced shortly.

Previously seen Off-Off-Broadway, the play concerns the unforgettable experiences of a young American businessman (Orth) who meets a beautiful woman (Parisse) while living and working in a country where he does not speak the language. Washburn’s other plays include Apparition and The Ladies.

Among Parisse’s stage credits are the Off-Broadway productions of The Credeaux Canvas and Monster. Earlier this summer, she starred in Coastal Disturbances at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Parisse is well-known to television viewers for her roles of Alexandra Borgia on Law & Order and Julia Lindsay Snyder on As The World Turns.

Orth appeared in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of Major Barbara. His Off-Broadway credits include Rope, subUrbia, and the Vineyard production of The Eros Trilogy. He and Parisse both appeared in the Roundabout’s Misalliance and in the film Prime, with Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman.
