Gallagher, Mitchell, Pettiford Set for L.A.’s Musical Mondays Benefits

Peter Gallagher, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Valarie Pettiford will inaugurate Musical Mondays, a new series of special benefit concerts for The Actors Fund of America to be held at the historic Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. All concerts will take place at 8pm.

Mitchell will kick off the series on Monday, September 25. He won the Tony Award for Kiss Me, Kate and received nominations for Man of La Mancha, Ragtime, and King Hedley II. He recently released his first solo CD, entitled Brian Stokes Mitchell. Mitchell is also the president of The Actors’ Fund.

Gallagher will appear on Monday, October 16. He starred on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, for which he received a Tony nomination, and the original production of Grease. His film credits include Sex, Lies, and Videotape, American Beauty, and The Player. He currently stars as Sandy Cohen on the hit television series The O.C.

Pettiford will perform on Monday, December 4. She is set to star in the La Jolla Playhouse’s production of The Wiz. Her Broadway credits include Fosse, for which she received a Tony Award nomination, Grind, Big Deal, and Sophisticated Ladies. She also starred in the television series Half & Half.
