Hartley, Rahm, Vinovich, et al. to Star in The 60s

Mariette Hartley, Kevin Rahm, and Steve Vinovich will head the cast of Trish Soodik’s new comedy The 60s, which will play September 16-November 19 at the Pacific Resident Theatre (PRT) in Venice, California.

The production will be directed by Paul Linke. The cast also includes Dana Dewes, Jerry Sroka, William Lithgow, Neil McGowan, Samantha Thompson, and Austin Highsmith.

The play concerns Grace and Norman (Hartley and Vinovich), a couple in their 60s who look back at their life in the 1960s when they were young and fearless. Among Soodik’s other plays are Things and The Unusual; she also wrote the television movies Annie: A Royal Adventure and Shake, Rattle & Roll.

Hartley performed on Broadway in Cabaret. Her numerous other stage credits include her autobiographical solo show If You Get to Bethelem, You’ve Gone Too Far, Sylvia, Measure for Measure, The Miser, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and Copenhagen. She has appeared in such films and television series as Ride the High Country, Peyton Place, and The Incredible Hunk Married, for which she won an Emmy Award. Currently, she has the recurring role of attorney Lorna Scarry on Law & Order: SVU.

Rahm starred on the television series Judging Amy as Kyle McCarty; he has appeared in such previous PRT productions as A Question of Mercy and Tonight at 8:30. Vinovich’s Broadway credits include , Lost in Yonkers, The Robber Bridegroom, The Magic Show, and The Grand Tour.
