Former Hairspray leading lady Kathy Brier will offer two free concerts in the coming weeks. On Saturday, September 2 at 8pm, she will appear at the Reisinger Concert Hall at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. On Saturday, September 9, at 11:30am, she will take part in the homecoming festivities at Wagner College on Staten Island; that concert will be followed by a photo and autograph session. At both concerts, Brier will sing selections from her new CD Heartbreaker, which features original rock n’ roll songs.

In addition to having starred as Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production Hairspray, Brier’s New York stage credits include Bat Boy: The Musical, A Broadway Diva Christmas, and The Actors’ Fund Benefit Concert of Hair.

Brier is best known for her role of Marcie Walsh on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. In addition, she performed in the 2006 Daytime Emmys ceremony alongside her One Life to Live colleagues and fellow Broadway stars Kerry Butler and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
