Catch Me If You Can to Play Final Broadway Performance on September 4

The Broadway musical Catch Me If You Can. will play its final performance at the Neil Simon on Sunday, September 4. The show will have played 32 preview and 170 regular performances.


Based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film of the same name, the show features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

The musical centers on Frank Abagnale, Jr., a world-class con artist who is pursued by straight-arrow FBI agent Carl Hanratty.

The show stars Norbert Leo Butz , who won the 2011 Tony Award, as Carl Hanratty, Aaron Tveit as Frank Abagnale, Jr., Tom Wopat as Frank Abagnale, Sr. , Kerry Butler as Brenda Strong. Rachel De Benedet as Paula Abagnale, Linda Hart as Carol Strong, and Nick Wyman as Roger Strong.

The ensemble includes Joe Cassidy, Timothy McCuen Piggee, Brandon Wardell, Sara Andreas, Alex Ellis, Will Erat, Jennifer Frankel, Lisa Gajda, Bob Gaynor, Kearran Giovanni, Nick Kenkel, Grasan Kingsberry, Michael X. Martin, Aleks Pevec, Kristin Piro, Rachelle Rak, Joe Aaron Reid, Angie Schworer, Sabrina Sloan, Sarrah Strimel, Charlie Sutton, Katie Webber and Candice Marie Woods.


The show features set design by David Rockwell, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Steve Kennedy, and music direction by John McDaniel.


A national tour will launch in Fall 2012 in Providence, Rhode island.
