The Civilians are set to present Let Me Ascertain You: Occupy #S17, a cabaret focusing on the one-year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, at Joe’s Pub on September 17 at 7:30pm.
The evening will feature monologues and songs crafted from interviews with activists conducted by Civilians artists throughout the past year.
All of The Civilians’ interview transcripts are posted and available for free download
on the company’s website, and they are encouraging students, artists, activists, and others to use the interviews to curate #S17 performances in their communities. Groups from Portland, Albuquerque, and Cincinnati are already signed on.
