Third Rail Projects to Debut Immersive Theater Event Then She Fell Inspired by Lewis Carroll

Third Rail Projects’ immersive theater event Then She Fell will receive its world premiere at Arts@Renaissance, the Garden Level of the former Greenpoint Hospital, run by St Nicks Alliance, October 3-November 18, with an opening on October 6.

Inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll (of Alice in Wonderland fame), this multi-sensory experience will have audience members exploring a dreamlike world where every alcove, corner, and corridor has been transformed into lushly designed performance space. During the performance, audiences are given the opportunity to imbibe specially designed elixirs crafted from gourmet-caliber wines, teas, herbs and infusions.

Set inside the former outpatient wing of what was once Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Hospital, the production pays homage to the hospital’s history and evokes the inner, psychological landscapes of Lewis Carroll, Alice Liddell, and iconic characters from Carroll’s texts.

Featured Collaborators include performers Elizabeth Carena, Alberto Denis, Stacie C. Fields, Rebekah Morin, Tara O’Con, Marissa Nielsen-Pincus, Jennine Willett, Tom Pearson, Zach Morris, and Zoë Scheiber; production manager/event producer Debra Stunich; sound designer and composer Sean Hagerty; environment & interactive design consultant Christopher Cummings; costume designer Karen Young; lighting design consultant Kryssy Wright; beverage consultant Sarah Sutel; and collaborating musicians Brian Olin and Isaiah Singer.
