Karmine Alers, Marcus Choi, Julie Danao-Salkin, Frenchie Davis, Manoel Felciano, Jeremy Kushnier, Rob Sapp, and cast members of the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz will participate in a benefit concert for Project Rita at 7pm on Wednesday, October 4 at the New School’s Tishman Auditorium (66 West 12th Street).

Rita is a global movement to help prevent suicide. The organization was founded in 2002 by Kim Strouse after her sister Kristin, a freshman at Parsons The New School for Design, took her own life. Through workshops, exhibitions, and other programming, Rita tries to raise public awareness of the importance of the arts to mental health.

Tickets to the event are priced at $20 general admission, $10 with student ID. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 5pm on the day of the concert at the Tishman Auditorium. For more information, visit www.ritaproject.org.
