The Screen Actors Guild will give Julie Andrews its Life Achievement Award on January 28 as part of its annual awards ceremony.

Andrews, who will turn 71 next month, has starred on Broadway in The Boy Friend, My Fair Lady, Camelot, and Victor/Victoria. She received Tony Award nominations for the latter three shows, but ultimately declined the Victor/Victoria nomination because the show was otherwise ignored by the Tony nominators. In addition, she won the Drama Desk Award for Victor/Victoria and was nominated for the Off-Broadway production of the Stephen Sondheim review Putting it Together.

Her films include Mary Poppins, for which she received the Academy Award, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Star, 10, Victor/Victoria and The Princess Diaries. Most recently, she was the voice of the Queen in Shrek 2. She also starred in the original television broadcast of Cinderella and the television remake of On Golden Pond.
