Baby Wants Candy, Jeff Hiller, Vox Pop Part of New York Musical Improv Festival

The Magnet Theater will present The Fourth Annual New York Musical Improv Festival, October 4-7.

Over 100 performers will converge to create fully improvised musical performances – ranging from traditional musical theatre fare to adrenaline-pumping rap battles.

Featured performers will include: Baby Wants Candy, Jill Bernard’s Drum Machine, Tara Copeland, Jeff Hiller, Diamond Lion, North Coast, Shakespeare: The Musical, Vox Pop, Mansical, TwinProv, The Lupones, Trudy Carmichael’s Musical Mixer, JerJosh and the SteveCams, Madde Gibba, The Made-Up Musical, Choral Rage, FACE, The Boom Box Kids, BEEES!, Atticus, Aquarius, There’s No Place Like Home, Mikki Hommel, Soft Filter, The Montels, Legend, Fancy Mantlepiece, Hello, THEM and Mint Condition

In addition, on Sunday, October 7, the festival will present a special performance to benefit Gilda’s Club of New York City to raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer. In honor of comedy legend Gilda Radner, the benefit will feature many of the top female musical improv artists in the country.
