Big Apple Circus Begins New Show Legendarium to Lincoln Center Beginning October 20

The Big Apple Circus will return to Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park for its annual engagement beginning October 20. The organization’s newest production, Legendarium, will run through Sunday, January 13.

Showcasing the birth of circus traditions from the trapeze to clowning, Legendarium will feature clown team the Acrobuffos, Bulgarian trapeze artist Andrey Mantchev, Dalian Acrobatic Troupe from China, Canadian steel hoop performer Daniel Cyr, Russian areal team Desire of Flight, aerial performer Katerina, contortionist Elayne Kramer, tango dancers Emily and Menno van Dyke, horse performer Jenny Vidbel, the Hungarian Quinterion Troupe, slack wire walker Zhan Fang, and ringmaster John Kennedy Kane.

West Hyler directs the show, which features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Howell Binkley, musical direction byRob Slowik, and sound design by JP Perreaux.
