Broadway War Horse to Close January 2013

The Broadway production of War Horse, at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater, will conclude its run on Sunday, January 6, 2013. As of that date, the production will have played 33 previews and 718 regular performances.

Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, the play is set at the dawn of World War I, and tells the story of a young boy and his beloved horse.

The National Theatre of Great Britain’s production won five Tony Awards including Best Play, and a special Tony Award for the Handspring Puppet Company, which created the life-sized puppets which brings the show’s horses to thrilling life on stage.

The Broadway company currently features Stephen James Anthony, Toby Billowitz, Alyssa Bresnahan, Lute Breuer, Hunter Canning, Anthony Cochrane, Richard Crawford, Sanjit de Silva, Andrew Durand, Joel Reuben Ganz, Ben Graney, Alex Hoeffler, Leah Hofmann, Ben Horner, Brian Lee Huynh, Jeslyn Kelly, Tessa Klein, David Lansbury, Tom Lee, Jonathan Christopher MacMillan, David Manis, Jonathan David Martin, Nat McIntyre, Andy Murray, David Pegram, Kate Pfaffl, Jude Sandy, Tommy Schrider, Hannah Sloat, Jack Spann, Elliot Villar, Enrico D. Wey, Isaac Woofter, Katrina Yaukey and Madeleine Rose Yen.
