Humorist Dave Barry and actor Matthew Saldivar joined fans outside the Brooks Atkinson Theatre to celebrate the 10th annual “International Talk Like a Pirate Day” on the morning of Wednesday September 19.
Saldivar plays the role of pirate Black Stache in the Broadway musical Peter and the Starcatcher, based upon the books co-authored by Barry. The two also judged a contest for the most outrageous mustaches displayed, with the winners receiving tickets to that evening’s performance of the musical.
