Earle Hyman, Peter Maloney, Carolyn McCormick, and Mary Beth Piel head the cast of the Atlantic Theater Company production of two Harold Pinter one-acts Celebration and The Room, set to begin performances on November 16. Directed by Neil Pepe, the Atlantic’s artistic director, the show will officially open on December 5 and will run through January 8.

Betsy Aidem, Kate Blumberg, Patrick Breen, Brennan Brown, Phillip Goodwin, David Pittu, Thomas Jay Ryan, and Christa Scott-Reed round out the cast. The design team consists of Walt Spangler (sets), David Weiner (lighting), Ilona Somogyi (costumes), and Obadiah Eaves (sound).

Celebration, Pinter’s most recent play, focuses on a wedding anniversary in an ultra-trendy restaurant and features three successful couples jockeying for the upper hand; The Room, Pinter’s first produced play, depicts a nightmare world of insecurity and uncertainty in a shabby, one-room London flat. Last week, Pinter was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
