Berry, Howes, Marcovicci, Murray, et al. Set for Project Shaw’s Misalliance

Sarah Uriarte Berry, Christian Borle, Sally Ann Howes, Ian Kahn, Andrea Marcovicci, Martin Moran, Brian Murray, Gareth Saxe, and Paxton Whitehead will star in Project Shaw‘s free reading of George Bernard Shaw’s Misalliance at 7pm on Monday, October 23 at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South).

Daily News columnist Howard Kissel will host the event, and New York magazine critic Jeremy McCarter will serve as narrator.

Shaw’s 1899 comedy focuses on the mismatch between Hypatia, the lusty, free-spirited, daughter of a philandering father who made a bundle in the underwear business, and her aristocratic fiancé Bentley, who is all brains and no body. The has been seen twice on Broadway, most recently in 1953. In addition, the Roundabout Theatre Company has mounted three Off-Broadway productions, the most recent in 1997.
