Lucas, Playten, Robards Join Cast of SpeakEasy at Joe’s Pub

Josh Lucas, Alice Playten, and Jake Robards have joined the cast of SpeakEasy, the inaugural event of the newly-formed theater company The Fire Dept. It will be performed at 9:30pm on October 22, 23, and 24 at Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette Street).

SpeakEasy, a group of interconnected short plays, has been written by company members Rob Ackerman, Suzanne Bradbeer, Anton Dudley, Brian Keith Jackson, Rajiv Joseph, Laurence Klavan, Carson Kreitzer, Neil LaBute, Edwin Sanchez, Theresa Rebeck, and Sheri Wilner. The piece will be staged environmentally by Erica Gould, who co-founded the company with Blank and Audrey Rosenberg

Other actors participating in the event are Jessica Blank, Amelia Campbell, Kathleen Chalfant, Chuck Cooper, Janeane Garafolo, Judith Hawking, Dorian Missick,, Antoinette LaVecchia, Jeremy Schwartz, Lucas Blondheim, Jim Bracchitta, David Calvitto, Carla Cantrelle, Nadia Dajani, Arjun Gupta, Sarah Hayon, Steven Ratazzi, Tony Torn, and Jasper Peterson.
