Full Cast, Creative Team Set for DC’s Tamburlaine and Edward II

Full cast and creative team have been announced for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s repertory productions of Christopher Marlowe’s Tamburlaine and Edward II, to play the Sidney Harman Hall.

As previously announced, Edward II, to run October 27-January 6, will be directed by Gale Edwards and star Wallace Acton in the title role; while Tamburlaine, which will run October 28-January 6, will be directed by Michael Kahn and star Avery Brooks in the title role.

The casts for both shows will include Terence Archie, Danyon Davis, James Denvil, Franchelle Stewart Dorn, Robert Jason Jackson, Scott Jaeck, Floyd King, James Konicek, Andrew Long, Deanne Lorette, Christopher Marino, David McCann, Jonathan Earl Peck, Jefferson A. Russell, David Sabin, David Emerson Toney, Mia Tagano, Kurt Uy, Craig Wallace, Amy Kim Waschke, and Jay Whittaker.

The creative team for the productions will include Lee Savage (sets), Jennifer Moeller (costumes for Tamburlaine), Murell Horton (costumes for Edward II), Mark McCullough (lighting), Karl Lundberg (music composition), Daniel Pelzig (choreography), and Rick Sordelet (fight direction).
