Soul of Shaolin to Play Broadway’s Marquis in January

Soul of Shaolin, a martial arts show featuring 33 Chinese artists, will play Broadway’s Marquis Theatre January 13-31, with an opening on January 15. The production, which concerns a boy raised by monks to become a Shaolin kung fu master, is the inaugural annual offering of China on Broadway, a producing partnership of Nederlander Worldwide Productions and the Eastern Shanghai Cultural Film and Television Group. The show has previously played Beijing, Sydney and Macau.

The Marquis will house Irving Berlin’s White Christmas from November 14 to January 4, and 9 to 5 will begin its run there on April 7, with a scheduled April 30 opening.
