Douglas Hodge, Jane Krakowski, Brooke Shields, Benjamin Walker Fall For Cyrano de Bergerac on Opening Night

Roundabout Theatre Company welcomed Jamie Lloyd‘s revival of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac to Broadway on Thursday, October 11. The production began previews on September 14 at the American Airlines Theatre, where the cast met the press following the opening night performance.

Douglas Hodge stars in the title role, the long-nosed nobleman who lends his romantic words to the young cadet (played by Kyle Soller) who is wooing Cyrano’s own love (played by Clémence Poésy).

Also featured in the cast are Patrick Page, Max Baker, Peter Bradbury, Bill Buell, Jack Cutmore-Scott, Mikaela Feely-Lehmann, Andy Grotelueschen, Geraldine Hughes, Tim McGeever, Drew McVety, Frances Mercanti-Anthony, Okieriete Onaodowan, Samuel Roukin, Ben Steinfeld, and Graham Winton.

Guests included Margaret Colin, Santino Fontana, Beth Fowler, Jessica Hershberg, Edward Hibbert, Simon Jones, Mark Junek, Jane Krakowski, Kristin Mulligan, Cynthia Nixon, David West Read, Dick Scanlan, Brooke Shields, Charles Strouse, and Benjamin Walker.

Cyrano de Bergerac features a translation by Ranjit Bolt, scenic and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, and music by Charlie Rosen.
