Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews and her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton sat down for an interview with Anderson Cooper, which will air on Wednesday, October 17 on his syndicated talk show Anderson Live. The pair were on hand to promote their new book Julie Andrews’ Treasury for All Seasons: Poems and Songs to Celebrate the Year.

During the interview, Andrews addressed numerous subjects, including the London Olympics, her throat problems, and her feelings about Glee and Smash.

She also revealed the heartwarming factoid that not only is she still in touch with her fellow cast members from the classic film The Sound of Music, they also see each other quite often.

“I am still in touch with all the children,” Andrews told Cooper. “They are all so grown up now and they’ve got their own children but we have big reunions and we send each other Christmas cards and things like that.”

Andrews is currently directing the world premiere stage musical production of her and Hamilton’s young adult novel The Great American Mousical, which begins performances at Goodspeed’s Norma Terris Theatre on November 8.

The October 17 episode also features a chat with stage and television star Rachel Dratch, who talks about being a mother and how to dress like her former Saturday Night Live character Debbie Downer on Halloween.
